Category Description Competitors in the demonstration category of Audio-Visual Communication are studying to become media assistants in the study programme of Audio-Visual Communication. Study modules consist of basic studies in different production areas. Study contents have included for example production planning, screenplay/manuscript, dramaturgy, camcorder recording, lighting, recording, editing, marketing and production skills and multiple-camera technique. In practical training, students have made music videos, documentaries, news inserts, short films, animations and company introduction videos all the way from planning into a finished product, i.e. a DVD. Media assistants usually work for production companies or as freelancers for private enterprises and national television channels, do post-graduate studies, or work as self-employed entrepreneurs. |
