Category Description
The competition tasks of this category are based on the requirements of level 3 (on a scale of 1-5) as described in the curriculum-based training of a vocational degree. The candidates have to be able to care for, support and guide the development of people of various age, back-grounds and situations, and to provide support for their rehabilitation.

A practical nurse has a qualification for a basic level caring, nursing and education. The training provides basic skills in supporting, guiding, nursing and rehabilitating people of different age groups and back-grounds in their various phases of life. Practical nurses can work in their home country or abroad in, for example, homes, hospitals, children's daycare, institutions, receptions, medical centres, patient transportation, different service units, commercial businesses, industries, companies, and also as private entrepreneurs.
